Removal & Installation: Starter

  1. Disconnect battery cables.
  2. Remove battery and battery tray.
  3. Disconnect MAF meter connector, wire clamp, and EVAP hose from air cleaner cap.
  4. Remove air cleaner cap and air filter.
  5. Remove 3 bolts and air cleaner case.
  6. Disconnect starter connector.
  7. Remove starter wiring nut and disconnect starter wiring.
  8. Remove starter bolts and starter.
  9. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten starter bolts and air cleaner case bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
