Inspection Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Check the cruise control switch using ACTIVE TEST.

    COMBINATION METER: 

    COMBINATION METER DESCRIPTION

    Description Tester display Check condition
    CRUISE indicator light CRUISE INDIC ON-OFF
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step 
  2. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
    3. Select the item below in the DATA LIST, and read the display on the hand-held tester.

    CRUISE CONTROL (ECM): 

    CRUISE CONTROL (ECM)

    ITEM EXTEND PARAM
    CCS INDICATOR M Cruise Control Main Switch-Indicator (Main CPU) OFF/ON
    CCS INDICATOR S Cruise Control Main Switch-Indicator (Sub CPU) OFF/ON

    Result: 

    RESULT

    All OK A
    All NG B
    Others B
    1. B: REPLACE ECM (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
    2. A: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
