On-Vehicle Inspection

CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Turn the tester ON.
Enter the following menus:
Select: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Position No. 1 or Accelerator position No. 2.
Operate the accelerator pedal, then check that the Accelerator position No. 1 and Accelerator position No. 2 values are within the specifications.

Standard accelerator position No. 1

ACCELERATOR PEDAL CONDITION CHART

Accelerator Pedal Condition	Specified Condition
Released	0.5 to 1.1 V
Depressed	2.6 to 4.5 V

Standard accelerator position No. 2

ACCELERATOR PEDAL CONDITION CHART

Accelerator Pedal Condition	Specified Condition
Released	1.2 to 2.0 V
Depressed	3.4 to 5.0 V

If the Techstream is not available, measure the voltage between the terminals (VPA - EPA, VPA2 -EPA2) of the ECM connector (See TERMINALS OF ECM ).
