PCV Valve: Installation

NOTE: While the negative battery terminal is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the negative battery terminal is connected.
  1. INSTALL PCV VALVE 
    1. Install the PCV valve.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      When reusing the PCV valve, inspect the O-ring.

      If the O-ring has scratches or cuts, replace the PCV valve.

    2. Connect the PCV hose.

    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
