Yaw Rate Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure
- CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE)
- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector (Y1) from the yaw rate sensor.
- Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.

Standard resistance
Tester connection Condition Specified value Y1-2 (CANL) - Y1-3 (CANH) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, GND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester connection Condition Specified value Y1-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester connection Condition Specified value Y1-5 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch on 10 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.
- REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL
