Yaw Rate Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
    2. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector (Y1) from the yaw rate sensor.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester connection Condition Specified value
      Y1-2 (CANL) - Y1-3 (CANH) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, GND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester connection Condition Specified value
      Y1-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester connection Condition Specified value
      Y1-5 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch on 10 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL
