Unlock Position Sensor Signal Circuit: Procedure

1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E78-4 (SLP1) - E78-2 (SGND)	Engine switch off Engine switch on (ACC or IG)	Below 1 V

OK → CHECK SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START FUNCTION 

NG: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the E78 connector from the steering lock actuator assembly.

2. Disconnect the E61 connector from the main body ECU.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E78-4 (SLP1) - E61-18 (SLP)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E78-4 (SLP1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
