Room Oscillator does not Recognize Key: Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK OPERATION 
    1. Check that the wireless door lock and unlock functions operate normally.

      OK

      Wireless door lock functions operate normally.

    NG → GO TO  WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK OPERATION OF KEY 
    1. After replacing the key with a normally functioning one, check that the wireless lock and unlock functions operate normally.

      OK

      Wireless lock and unlock functions operate normally.

    OK → END (KEY IS DEFECTIVE) 

    NG: Go to next step 

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA) 
    1. Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the antenna operates.
      CERTIFICATION ECU:

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Fr-Seat Outside Transmitter Indoor electrical key antenna (front) ON/OFF -
      Rr-Seat Outside Transmitter Indoor electrical key antenna (rear) ON/OFF -
      Inside Trunk/Backdoor Transmitter Luggage compartment door inner antenna ON/OFF -

      OK

      When key is brought close to indoor electrical key antenna, antenna is turned OFF and indicator on key illuminates.

    OK → REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU ASSEMBLY 

    NG: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA - CERTIFICATION ECU ASSEMBLY)

    1. Disconnect the U35, V32 and V33 antenna connectors.
    2. Disconnect the U28 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      U35-1 (CLG3) - U28-11 (CLG5)*1 Below 1 Ω
      U35-1 (CLG3) or U28-11 (CLG5)*1 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      V32-1 (CLG4) - U28-13 (CLG6)*2 Below 1 Ω
      V32-1 (CLG4) or U28-13 (CLG6)*2 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      V33-1 (CLG6) - U28-15 (CLG7)*3 Below 1 Ω
      V33-1 (CLG6) or U28-15 (CLG7)*3 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      U35-3 (CLGB) - U28-12 (CLG5B)*1 Below 1 Ω
      U35-3 (CLGB) or U28-12 (CG5B)*1 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      V32-3 (CLGB) - U28-14 (LG6B)*2 Below 1 Ω
      V32-3 (CLGB) or U28-14 (CG6B)*2 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      V33-3 (CLGB) - U28-16 (CG7B)*3 Below 1 Ω
      V33-3 (CLGB) or U28-16 (CG7B)*3 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA 
    1. Carry the key into the vehicle.
    2. Replace the indoor electrical key antenna with a new one.
    3. Depress the brake pedal and check that the engine switch indicator illuminates in green.

      OK

      Engine switch indicator illuminates in green.

    OK → END (INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA IS DEFECTIVE) 

    NG → REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU ASSEMBLY
