Pattern Select Switch Power Mode Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the connector of pattern select switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

Tester Connection Specified Condition J36-3 (E) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)
- Connect the connector of pattern select switch.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

(to Main Body ECU RH) - Disconnect the cowl side junction block RH (main body ECU RH) connector.
- Measure the resistance between terminal PWR of the cowl side junction block RH (main body ECU RH) and body ground.

(PWR)Below 1 Ω ↑ Pattern select switch
(NORM)10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- Connect the connector of pattern select switch.
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
