  2. CHECK WAVE ENVIRONMENT
    1. Move the electrical key transmitter as described below and perform the operation inspection. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .

      HINT:

      • When the electrical key transmitter is brought near the door outside handle or electrical key antenna, the possibility of wave interference decreases, and it can be determined if wave interference is causing the problem symptom.
      • The transmitting wave of the wireless function and entry function are the same, but the wave logic is different. As a result, it is possible that only the wireless function or only the entry function is affected by wave interference.
    2. Bring the electrical key transmitter near the front door outside handle LH, and perform a driver door entry lock and unlock operation check.

    6. Bring the electrical key transmitter near the indoor electrical key oscillator (in center console), and perform a hybrid control system start check.
      NOTE:

If the key is brought within 0.2 m (0.656 ft.) of the center console, communication may not possible.

    7. Bring the electrical key transmitter near the indoor electrical key oscillator (in rear seat cushion), and perform a hybrid control system start check.
      NOTE:

If the key is brought within 0.2 m (0.656 ft.) of the rear seat cushion, communication may not possible.

    8. Bring the electrical key transmitter near the electrical key antenna (in rear bumper), and perform an entry luggage compartment open function check.

      HINT:

If the inspection result is that the problem only occurs in certain locations or times of day, the possibility of wave interference is high. Also, added vehicle components may cause wave interference. If installed, remove them and perform the operation check.
