Confirmation Driving Pattern

HINT: 

Performing this confirmation pattern will activate the catalyst monitor. This is very useful for verifying the completion of a repair.

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream ON.
4. Clear DTCs (if set). Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Monitor.
6. Check that Catalyst / Status2 is incomplete.
7. Turn the power switch on (READY).
8. Warm up the engine. (Procedure "A")
9. Drive the vehicle at between 70 km/h and 120 km/h (45 mph and 75 mph) for at least 10 minutes. (Procedure "B")
10. Those items will change to complete as catalyst monitor operates.
11. On the Techstream, enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes / Pending; then check if any DTCs (any pending DTCs) are set.

HINT: 

If catalyst does not change to complete, and any pending DTCs fail to set, extend the driving time.
