Injector Driver: Installation: Installation

NOTE:

While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/ close the doors while the battery is connected.

  1. INSTALL INJECTOR DRIVER 
    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to drop or strike the injector driver.
    • The injector driver is grounded at the bolt and nut. To ensure that it is grounded, clean all oil and foreign matter from the installation areas of the injector driver and engine before installing the injector driver.
    1. Install the 2 injector drivers to the bracket with the 8 nuts.

      Torque: 7.5 N*m (76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf) 

    2. Temporarily install the 2 injector drivers (with bracket) with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
    3. Tighten the 2 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

    4. Connect the 8 injector driver connectors.

      1. Connect the 6 connectors with wire harness locks and the 2 connectors without wire harness locks to the 2 injector drivers.
        NOTE:

        Connect the connector securely.

        HINT: 

        Move the lock lever in the direction indicated by the arrow to lock the connector.

  2. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE HARNESS  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  3. CONNECT ECM CONNECTOR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
  4. CONNECT NO. 2 CONNECTOR HOLDER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  5. CONNECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 13
  6. INSTALL OUTLET ENGINE ROOM ECM DUCT  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 46
  7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  8. INSTALL NO. 6 COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  See step  19
  9. INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  See step  20
  10. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU BRACKET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  11. CONNECT BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  12. CONNECT NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
  13. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  14. CONNECT NO. 1 MOTOR COOLING PIPE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  17. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  18. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP 
    1. Install the service plug grip. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  20. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 15
  21. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 16
  22. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
  23. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 94
