How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

      B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

      A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
      1. Simulate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
        RESULT

        Result Proceed to
        DTC is output A
        DTC is not output B
        DTCs are not output, and the malfunction cannot be simulated or checked. C

      B → GO TO STEP   9 

      C → SYMPTOM SIMULATION 

      A: Go to next step 

  5. DTC CHART 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  6. CIRCUIT INSPECTION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. REPAIR 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  8. CONFIRMATION TEST 

    NEXT → END 

  9. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  10. CIRCUIT INSPECTION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  11. CONFIRMATION TEST 

    NEXT → END
