Front Acceleration Sensor: Inspection: Inspection

  1. INSPECT ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect 3 dry batteries of 1.5 V in series.
    2. Connect terminal 3 (SGB) to the batteries' positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 (SGG) to the negative (-) terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (SGFL) - 2 (SGG) Sensor is stationary Approx. 2.25 V
      Sensor is tilted Change between approx. 0.9 to 2.3 V

      HINT: 

      When the acceleration sensor is tilted, it may output a different value.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply a voltage of more than 6 V.
      • Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
