Sound Signal Circuit Between Navigation Receiver Assembly And Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the H142 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H120 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H142-16 (ADPG) - H120-9 (AUXO) Always Below 1 Ω
      H142-7 (VAR+) - H120-6 (ARO) Always Below 1 Ω
      H142-8 (VAL-) - H120-7 (ALO) Always Below 1 Ω
      H142-15 (VA-) - H120-8 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      H142-5 (AGND) - H120-10 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H142-16 (ADPG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H142-7 (VAR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H142-8 (VAL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H142-15 (VA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H142-5 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
