Back Door Entry Lock Function does not Operate: Procedure

1. When the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly is operated, check that the doors unlock and lock according to the switch operation. Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2012 - ] .

   OK

   Door locks operate normally.

NG → See step   7 

OK: Go to next step 

1. When the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly on the driver side door is operated, check that the Data List using the Techstream. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [06/2012 - ] .

1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [06/2012 - ] .

Use this Data List item to help determine if there is a switch malfunction when the back door lock function does not operate.

   The Techstream display changes correctly in response to the operation of the back door electrical key switch.

1. Disconnect the X6 back door electrical key switch connector.
2. Disconnect the G26 certification ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   X6-3 (B) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Remove the back door electrical key switch. Refer to REMOVAL [06/2012 - ] .

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
