Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the J125 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J125-1 (CANH) - J125-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J125-12 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J125-16 (ACC1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      J125-17 (+B1) - Body ground Engine switch off 11 to 14 V
      J125-15 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK (w/ Navigation system) A
      OK (w/o Navigation system with multi-display) B
      NG C

    B → See step   4 

    C → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    A → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2012 - ]
