Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Component Amplifier: Procedure
- INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O33-1 (MUTE) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC), audio system playing
→ Changing modesAbove 3.5 V
→ Below 1 VTEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Component with harness connected
(Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly)
NG → See step 2
OK → See step 5
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the G37 radio receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the O33 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G37-7 (MUT1) - O33-1 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω G37-7 (MUT1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
