DCM Data Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and DCM: Procedure

  1. CHECK NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the G53 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.

    2. Disconnect the G50 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G53-1-1 (USB-) - G50-1-1 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-1-2 (USB+) - G50-1-2 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-1-3 (USBS) - G50-1-3 (USBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-2 (USBG) - G50-2 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-3 (VOT+) - G50-7 (VOR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-4 (USBV) - G50-4 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-5 (VOT-) - G50-6 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-6 (VOR-) - G50-5 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-7 (VOR+) - G50-3 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-1-1 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-1-2 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-1-3 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-2 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-3 (VOT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-4 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-5 (VOT-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-6 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G53-7 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      (to Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly)

    NG → REPLACE NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE 

    OK → See step   2
