Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G39 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the U13 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G39-16 (ADPG) - U13-9 (AUXO) Always Below 1 Ω
      G39-7 (VAR+) - U13-6 (ARO) Always Below 1 Ω
      G39-8 (VAL+) - U13-7 (ALO) Always Below 1 Ω
      G39-15 (VA-) - U13-8 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      G39-5 (AGND) - U13-10 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      G39-16 (ADPG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G39-7 (VAR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G39-8 (VAL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G39-15 (VA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G39-5 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2
