DTC B1796: Sleep Operation Failure of Occupant Classification ECU (07/2012 -): Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2012 - ] .
- Clear the DTCs stored in the center airbag sensor assembly. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2012 - ] .
- Turn the engine switch off, and wait for at least 10 seconds.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2012 - ]

DTC B1796 is not output.
HINT:
Codes other than DTC B1796 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

- REPLACE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Replace the occupant classification ECU. Refer to REMOVAL [03/2012 - ] .
NEXT: Go to next step
- PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration. Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2012 - ]

"Zero Point Calibration is complete." is displayed.

- PERFORM SENSITIVITY CHECK
