DTC B2788: IG2 Signal Malfunction: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING LOCK ECU - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the F37 connector from the steering lock ECU.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F37-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Front view of wire harness connector
(to Steering Lock ECU) - Reconnect the F37 steering lock ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition F37-6 (IG2) - F37-1 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V F37-6 (IG2) - F37-1 (GND) Engine switch off Below 1 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Component with harness connected
(Steering Lock ECU)
NG → CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
OK → See step 2
- Disconnect the F37 connector from the steering lock ECU.
- REPLACE STEERING LOCK ECU (STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY). Refer to DISASSEMBLY [03/2012 - ]
