Visual Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Multi-display: Procedure
- INSPECT MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G41-11 (VMTI) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC), screen display changes. 2 V or higher
→ Below 1 V

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the G41 multi-display assembly connector.
- Disconnect the G40 radio receiver assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G40-5 (VMTF) - G41-11 (VMTI) Always Below 1 Ω G40-5 (VMTF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
- Replace the multi-display assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] .
- Check that the screen display is normal.
OK
Screen display is normal.
