Terminals Of Ecu [08/2013 - ]

  1. CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU

    1. Disconnect the A33, H1 and H2 power management control ECU connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      HINT: 

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

    3. Reconnect the A33, H1 and H2 power management control ECU connectors.
    4. Measure the voltage and check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

      HINT: 

      • *1: When the power switch is turned off with the shift lever in P and any of the doors are opened or closed, the steering will be locked. When the power switch is turned on (ACC) or on (IG), the steering will be unlocked.
      • *2: When all of the following conditions are met, open any of the doors to operate the steering lock motor.
        • The shift lever is in P.
        • The power switch is off.
        • While the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is being carried, the power switch is turned on (IG) and the steering is unlocked.
    5. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of the ECU.

        HINT: 

        When all of the following conditions are met, open any of the doors to operate the steering lock motor.

        • The shift lever is in P.
        • The power switch is off.
        • While the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is being carried, the power switch is turned on (IG) and the steering is unlocked.

        HINT: 

        The wavelength becomes shorter as the vehicle speed increases.
