DTC C1A41: Brake Request Value Mismatch between ENG / EHV and Driving Support ECU [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 05/2019]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are not output A
      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ]

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Hybrid control system DTCs are not output A
      Hybrid control system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2014 - ]

  3. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU 
    1. Replace the hybrid vehicle control ECU with a new one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  4. CHECK FOR DTCs 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

      Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Clear DTCs 

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

      Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1A41 is output A
      DTC C1A41 is not output B

    Result: 

    END (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU WAS DEFECTIVE)

  5. REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Replace the brake booster with master cylinder assembly (skid control ECU) with a new one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2015] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - 05/2019]

  6. CHECK FOR DTCs 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

      Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Clear DTCs 

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

      Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Trouble Codes

      DTC C1A41 is not output A
      DTC C1A41 is output B

    Result: 

    END (BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY [SKID CONTROL ECU] WAS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2017]
