  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 

    Refer to DTC P0A7F-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Deterioration [10/2015 - ] 

    Result:  B

    GO TO DTC CHART (P0AFC-123) 

    (See service information). Refer to DTC P0AFC-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Sensor Module [09/2014 - ] )

    Result:  A

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (VB01 - VB20) 
    1. Ensure the safety of the areas in front and at the back of the vehicle.
    2. Apply the parking brake and secure the wheels using chocks.
    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    4. Turn the power switch on (READY).
    5. Fully warm up the engine and turn the air conditioning off.
    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Battery Block Vol -V01 to V20.
    7. Firmly depress the brake pedal with your left foot.
    8. Move the shift lever to D.
    9. Record each battery block voltage from the Data List "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V20" while fully depressing the accelerator pedal.
    10. Compare the battery block voltages "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V20" between the even and odd number groups in each combination shown in the table below.

      HINT: 

      When an internal malfunction occurs in the battery smart unit, this symptom (difference in voltage of 0.3 V or more for all 10 pairs of blocks) will occur.

    11. Turn the power switch off.

    Result:  A

    REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT 

    (See service information). Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] )

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Read output DTCs.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      P3018-123 is not output. A
      P3018-123 is output. B

      HINT: 

      DTC P3018-123 may also be stored if there is foreign matter, etc. adhering to the connecting part of the service grip.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result:  A

    REPLACE HV BATTERY 

    (See service information). Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] )

    Result:  B
