- Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]
).
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT STEERING CONTROL ECU - STEERING SENSOR)
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the N158 VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) connector.
- Disconnect the N154 steering sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition N158-5 (SS1-) - N154-9 (SS2-) Always Below 1 Ω N158-6 (SS1+) - N154-8 (SS2+) Always Below 1 Ω N158-5 (SS1-) - Body ground Always 100 kΩ or higher N158-6 (SS1+) - Body ground Always 100 kΩ or higher N158-5 (SS1-) - N158-6 (SS1+) Always 1000 kΩ or higher

See step 3
- CHECK STEERING SENSOR
- Reconnect the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) connector.
- Reconnect the N154 steering sensor connector.
- Turn the power switch on (READY).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
HINT:
With the connector connected to the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU), measure the voltage from the rear of the connector.
