Visual Mute Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and Multi-display [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the I42 multi-display assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the I38 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I42-11 (VMTI) - I38-10 (VMTF) Always Below 1 Ω
      I42-11 (VMTI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      I38-10 (VMTF) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC), screen display changes 3.5 V or higher
      → Below 1 V
      → 3.5 V or higher

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Radio Receiver Assembly)

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2014 - 09/2017] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2017]
