Customize Parameters [10/2014 - 09/2017]

  1. CUSTOMIZING WITH MULTI-DISPLAY 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Using the multi-display, select "Setup", "General", and then feedback reaction force and change the customize setting.

      HINT: 

      *: The higher the set value, the stronger the touch screen vibration feedback reaction force becomes.

  2. CUSTOMIZING WITH REMOTE TOUCH 
    1. Customizing with remote touch example

      HINT: 

      *: The combination of switches pressed and held differs depending on the item to be customized.

      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Simultaneously press and hold the applicable switches* for 5 seconds or more.

      3. With the applicable switches* pressed and held, use 2 fingers from your other hand to touch the touch screen.

      4. Check that the setting changes and answer-back vibration is generated on the touch screen several times according to the set value.

      5. Release the applicable switches* to set the setting value.
      6. Repeat steps ii through v until the desired setting value is set.
    2. Customize pointer/cursor movement speed

      HINT: 

      The speed at which the pointer/cursor moves when the touch screen is touched with a finger can be changed.

      1. Following the above "Customizing with remote touch example", simultaneously press the "MENU" switch and "BACK" switch and perform the procedure.

      2. Determine the pointer/cursor movement speed from the number of times answer-back vibration is generated on the touch screen.

        HINT: 

        The setting value repeats in the following order: "Average", "Fast", "Slow", "Average", "Fast", "Slow", etc.

    3. Customize flick operation sensitivity

      HINT: 

      The flick operation sensitivity when a finger is quickly brushed against the touch screen can be changed.

      1. Following the above "Customizing with remote touch example", simultaneously press the "HOME" switch and "BACK" switch and perform the procedure.

      2. Determine the flick operation recognition speed from the number of times answer-back vibration is generated on the touch screen.
        SETTING VALUE

        HINT: 

        • When the setting value is set to "Average", a flick operation is recognized when a finger is quickly brushed against the touch screen.
        • When the setting value is set to "Fast", a flick operation is recognized when a finger is very quickly brushed against the touch screen.
        • When the setting value is set to "Slow", a flick operation is recognized when a finger is brushed somewhat quickly against the touch screen.
        • The setting value repeats in the following order: "Average", "Fast", "Slow", "Average", "Fast", "Slow", etc.
    4. Customize screen (map/list) scroll direction during flick operation

      HINT: 

      The screen (map/list) scroll direction when a finger is used to flick the touch screen can be changed.

      1. Following the above "Customizing with remote touch example", simultaneously press the "HOME" switch and "MENU" switch and perform the procedure.

      2. Determine the screen (map/list) scroll direction during a flick operation from the number of times answer-back vibration is generated on the touch screen.

        HINT: 

        • When the setting value is set to "Same Direction as Flick Direction", the screen (map/list) scrolls in the same direction as the finger used to flick the touch screen.
        • When the setting value is set to "Opposite Direction of Flick Direction", the screen (map/list) scrolls in the opposite direction of the finger used to flick the touch screen.
        • The setting value repeats in the following order: "Same Direction as Flick Direction", "Opposite Direction of Flick Direction", "Same Direction as Flick Direction", "Opposite Direction of Flick Direction", etc.
    5. Customize Flick Operation Function Availability

      HINT: 

      The availability of the flick operation function on the map screen and list screens (screens with a vertical scroll tab) when a finger is used to flick the touch screen can be changed.

      1. Following the above "Customizing with remote touch example", simultaneously press the "HOME" switch, "MENU" switch and "BACK" switch and perform the procedure.

      2. Determine the flick operation function availability from the number of times answer-back vibration is generated on the touch screen.

        HINT: 

        • When the setting value is set to "Map Function Disabled, List Function Enabled" the flick operation cannot be used on the map screen, but can be used on list screens (screens with a vertical scroll tab).
        • When the setting value is set to "Map Function Enabled, List Function Enabled" the flick operation can be used on both the map screen and list screens (screens with a vertical scroll tab).
        • When the setting value is set to "Map Function Enabled, List Function Disabled" the flick operation can be used on the map screen, but cannot be used on list screens (screens with a vertical scroll tab).
        • When the setting value is set to "Map Function Disabled, List Function Disabled" the flick operation cannot be used on the map screen and list screens (screens with a vertical scroll tab).
        • The setting value repeats in the following order: "Map Function Enabled, List Function Enabled", "Map Function Enabled, List Function Disabled", "Map Function Disabled, List Function Disabled", "Map Function Disabled, List Function Enabled", "Map Function Enabled, List Function Enabled", "Map Function Enabled, List Function Disabled", "Map Function Disabled, List Function Disabled", "Map Function Disabled, List Function Enabled", etc.
