Open in Bus 5 Main Bus Line [09/2017 - 05/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the No. 3 CAN junction connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 3 CAN Junction Connector)
      *b to Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU)
      *c to No. 6 CAN Junction Connector
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      I95-3 (CANH) - I95-13 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)
      I95-9 (CANH) - I95-19 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 6 CAN junction connector

      Result

    REPLACE NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  2. CONNECT CONNECTOR 
    1. Reconnect the I95 No. 3 CAN junction connector.

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Central Gateway ECU [Network Gateway ECU])
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I164-15 (CA5H) - I164-16 (CA5L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 05/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  4. CONNECT CONNECTOR 
    1. Reconnect the I95 No. 3 CAN junction connector.

      Result

      Proceed to

  5. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the No. 6 CAN junction connector.

      *b to Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU)
      *c to No. 3 CAN Junction Connector
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Q32-4 (CANH) - Q32-14 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)
      Q32-5 (CANH) - Q32-15 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 3 CAN junction connector

    1. Reconnect the I95 No. 3 CAN junction connector.

  7. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I164-9 (CAXH) - I164-24 (CAXL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 05/2019]
