DTC U0074-88: Control Module Communication Bus "B" Off Bus Off; DTC U0076-88: Control Module Communication Bus "D" Off Bus Off; DTC U0100-87: Lost Communication with ECM/PCM "A" Missing Message; DTC U0101-87: Lost Communication with TCM Missing Message; DTC U0125-87: Lost Communication with Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module Missing Message; DTC U0126-87: Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module Missing Message; DTC U0130-87: Lost Communication with Steering Effort Control Module Missing Message; DTC U0134-87: Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module Rear Missing Message [09/2020 - ]: Description

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) communicates with the following ECUs and sensors via CAN communication.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
U0074-88 Control Module Communication Bus "B" Off Bus Off Any of the following is detected:
  • A bus OFF state occurs once or more within 0.1 seconds, 10 times in succession.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, a delay in receiving data from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and steering angle sensor continues for 1 second or more.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, the following occurs 10 times in succession within 60 seconds:
    • A delay in receiving data from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and steering angle sensor occurs once or more within 5 seconds.
CAN communication system
U0076-88 Control Module Communication Bus "D" Off Bus Off Any of the following is detected:
  • A bus off condition occurs once or more within 0.1 seconds 10 times in succession.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is from 9.5 to 17.4 V, data cannot be received from the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) or DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) 1 or more times within 5 seconds, 10 or more times within 60 seconds.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is from 9.5 to 17.4 V, data cannot be received from the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) or DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) continuously for 1 second.
  • CAN communication system
  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)
  • VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU)
  • DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU)
U0100-87 Lost Communication with ECM/PCM "A" Missing Message When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V and the vehicle speed exceeds 15 km/h (9 mph), data cannot be received from the ECM for 2 seconds or more.
  • CAN communication system
  • ECM
  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)
U0101-87 Lost Communication with TCM Missing Message When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V and the vehicle speed exceeds 15 km/h (9 mph), data cannot be received from the TCM (ECM) for 2 seconds or more.
  • CAN communication system
  • TCM (ECM)
  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)
U0125-87 Lost Communication with Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module Missing Message Either of the following is detected:
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, data from the acceleration sensor cannot be received for 1second or more.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, the following occurs 10 times in succession within 60 seconds:
    • Data from the acceleration sensor cannot be received once or more within 5 seconds.
  • CAN communication system
  • Acceleration sensor (yaw rate and acceleration sensor)
  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)
U0126-87 Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module Missing Message Either of the following is detected:
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, data from the steering angle sensor cannot be received for 1 second or more.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, the following occurs 10 times in succession within 60 seconds:
    • Data from the steering angle sensor cannot be received once or more within 5 seconds
  • CAN communication system
  • Steering angle sensor
  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)
U0130-87 Lost Communication with Steering Effort Control Module Missing Message Either of the following is detected:
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, data from the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) cannot be received for 1 second or more.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, the following occurs 10 times in succession within 60 seconds:
    • The condition that data from the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) cannot be received occurs once or more within 5 seconds.
  • CAN communication system
  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)
  • VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU)
U0134-87 Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module Rear Missing Message Either of the following is detected:
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, data from the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) cannot be received for 1 second or more.
  • When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, the following occurs 10 times in succession within 60 seconds:
    • The condition that data from the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) cannot be received occurs once or more within 5 seconds.
  • CAN communication system
  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)
  • DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU)
DTC DETECTION CONDITIONS: U0074-88

DTC DETECTION CONDITIONS: U0125-87

HINT: 

DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met.

DTC DETECTION CONDITIONS: U0126-87

DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met.

DTC DETECTION CONDITIONS: U0130-87

Malfunction Status When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, data from the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) cannot be received. -
When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, the following occurs:
- The condition that data from the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) cannot be received occurs once or more within 5 seconds.

Detection Time 1 second or more. 10 times in succession within 60 seconds.

HINT: 

DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met.

DTC DETECTION CONDITIONS: U0134-87

Malfunction Status When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, data from the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) cannot be received. -
When the +BS terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, the following occurs:
- The condition that data from the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) cannot be received occurs once or more within 5 seconds.

Detection Time 1 second or more. 10 times in succession within 60 seconds.
Number of Trips 1 trip 1 trip

HINT: 

DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met.
