AVC-LAN Circuit [09/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the radio receiver assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - 08/2019]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *A w/ Panoramic View Monitor System
      *a Component without harness connected
      (Radio Receiver Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      45 (TX3+) - 46 (TX3-) Always 60 to 80 Ω
      7 (TX1+) - 8 (TX1-)* Always 60 to 80 Ω
      1. *: w/ Panoramic View Monitor System

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2015 - 08/2016]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2016 - 08/2019] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AVC-LAN CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the J50 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J56 multi-display assembly connector (for 8 Inch Display).

      Disconnect the J56 accessory meter assembly connector (for 12.3 Inch Display).

    3. Disconnect the J73 parking assist ECU connector (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System).
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-45 (TX3+) - J56-7 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J50-46 (TX3-) - J56-19 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J50-7 (TX1+) - J73-10 (TX+)* Always Below 1 Ω
      J50-8 (TX1-) - J73-9 (TX-)* Always Below 1 Ω
      J50-45 (TX3+) or J56-7 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J50-46 (TX3-) or J56-19 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J50-7 (TX1+) or J73-10 (TX+) - Body ground* Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J50-8 (TX1-) or J73-9 (TX-) - Body ground* Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1. *: w/ Panoramic View Monitor System

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT MALFUNCTIONING PARTS 
    1. Disconnect and reconnect each slave unit one by one until the master unit returns to normal.

      HINT: 

      • Check all slave units.
      • If disconnecting a slave unit causes the master unit to return to normal, the slave unit is defective and should be replaced.

      OK

      Master unit returns to normal.

      Result

    REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2015 - 08/2016]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2016 - 08/2019]
