Audio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode (2016 - 2017): Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the H89 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H89-9 (CANH) - H89-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result:  NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result:  OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the H168 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H168-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H168-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      H168-4 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      H89-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    Result:  OK

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL (2016 - 2017) )

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the H97 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H97-1 (CANH) - H97-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      H97-12 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      H97-16 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      H97-17 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      H97-15 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    Result:  OK

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL (2016 - 2017) )

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

  6. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the h1 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      h1-1 (CANH) - h1-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
