Wireless Transmitter Memory Function does not Operate (07/2015 -): Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check the manual lock/unlock function by using the door control switch (multiplex network master switch assembly) (Refer to OPERATION CHECK (07/2015 -) ).

      OK

      Manual lock/unlock function operates normally.

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 

    (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING (07/2015 -) )

    Result:  OK

    OK

  2. CHECK SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Start Function) 
    1. Check that the engine starts normally when the engine switch is pressed while carrying the key and while the brake pedal is depressed.

      OK

      Engine starts normally.

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Start Function)

    Result:  OK

  3. CHECK SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION 
    1. Store a seat position in memory (Refer to OPERATION CHECK (07/2015 -) ).
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate that a position has been stored.
      NOTE:
      • The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, M1 switch and M2 switch) are pressed simultaneously.
      • If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.

      OK

      Seat position memory function operates normally.

    Result:  NG

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE (Power Seat Position is not Memorized)

  4. CHECK SEAT POSITION RESTORING FUNCTION 
    1. Restore a memorized seat position (Refer to OPERATION CHECK (07/2015 -) ).
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the seat automatically moves to the memorized position.
      NOTE:
      • The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, M1 switch and M2 switch) are pressed simultaneously.
      • If a restoring operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory restoring function does not operate unless the switches are released.

      OK

      Seat position restoring function operates normally.

    Result:  NG

  5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER DOOR COURTESY SWITCH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
      MAIN BODY

  6. CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION 
    1. When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly.
      • Engine switch is off
      • Press and hold the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switch
      • Driver door closed
      • Carry the key
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of memory call registration (Refer to OPERATION CHECK (07/2015 -) ).

      OK

      Buzzer sounds normally.

    Result:  NG

  7. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

  8. CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Close and lock all doors.
    3. Unlock the driver door by pressing the unlock switch of the memory call registered key or touching the driver door outside handle while holding the memory call registered key.
    4. Open the driver door and check that the driver seat moves to the memorized position (Refer to OPERATION CHECK (07/2015 -) ).

      OK

      Driver seat moves to the memorized position.

    Result:  OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK

  9. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 
    1. Replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) (Refer to REMOVAL (07/2015 -) ).

    Result:  NEXT

  10. CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION 
    1. When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly.
      • Engine switch is off
      • Press and hold the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switch
      • Driver door closed
      • Carry the key
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of memory call registration (Refer to OPERATION CHECK (07/2015 -) ).

      OK

      Buzzer sounds normally.

    Result:  OK

  11. REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Replace the front power seat switch LH (Refer to REMOVAL (07/2015 -) ).

  12. CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION 
    1. When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly.
      • Engine switch is off
      • Press and hold the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switch
      • Driver door closed
      • Carry the key
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of memory call registration (Refer to OPERATION CHECK (07/2015 -) ).
