How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Interview the customer and confirm the problem (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2015 - ] ).

  3. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard Voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

    HINT: 

    A simple method to determine whether the battery is depleted is to operate the horn.

  4. CHECK DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - ] ).

      HINT: 

      When DTCs indicating CAN and/or LIN communication system malfunctions are output, repair the CAN and/or LIN communication systems before performing diagnosis (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2015 - ] for CAN (w/ Central Gateway ECU). Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2015 - ] for CAN (w/o Central Gateway ECU) and/or. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2015 - ] for LIN).
