Restraints Occupant Classification System Module Communication Stop Mode [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
2. Disconnect the occupant detection ECU connector.

   *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Occupant Detection ECU)

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   v15-5 (CANH) - v15-4 (CANL)	Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal	54 to 69 Ω

   Result

   Result
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE AND CONNECTOR (OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU) 

Result: 

OK

1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   v15-10 (GND) - Body ground	Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal	Below 1 Ω

2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   v15-6 (IG2) - Body ground	Power switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V
   	Power switch off	Below 1 V

   Result

   Result
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK
