Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [10/2015 - 09/2017]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY CAN BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly)
    2. Disconnect the multi-media module receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N68-1 (CANH) - N68-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (CANH, CANL) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N68-17 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      N68-16 (ACC1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      N68-15 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N68-12 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - 09/2017] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
