Visual Mute Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and Multi-display [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the N62 accessory meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the N68 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N62-11 (VMTI) - N68-10 (VMTF) Always Below 1 Ω
      N62-11 (VMTI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N68-10 (VMTF) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC), screen display changes. 3.5 V or higher → Below 1 V → 3.5 V or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly)

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    (Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2014 - 09/2017] , or refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2017 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
