When the engine switch is turned on (IG) and the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly (opening angle sensor) output voltage is higher than 4.73 V or less than 0.08 V for 3 seconds or more, the ECM determines that the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly (opening angle sensor) circuit is malfunctioning and stores a DTC.
