Power Seat Power Easy Access System Function does not Operate [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT OPERATION 
    1. Check that each function of the power seat operates normally by using the front power seat switch assembly (driver seat).

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2023 - ]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Power seat functions operate normally A
      All power seat functions do not operate B
      One or more power seat motors do not operate C

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER FLOW CHART (Front Power Seat does not Operate with Front Power Seat Switch). Refer to  Front Power Seat does not Operate with Front Power Seat Switch [10/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER FLOW CHART (One or more Power Seat Motors do not Operate). Refer to  One or more Power Seat Motors do not Operate [10/2023 - ]  

    Result:

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSPECTION [12/2017 - ]

    Result

    NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT) - POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the Q39 front seat inner belt assembly (driver seat) connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q28 position control ECU assembly (driver seat) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q39-2 - Q28-20 (DBCL) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q39-2 or Q28-20 (DBCL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q39-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT) 
    1. Replace the position control ECU assembly (driver seat) with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

      Result

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Initialize the position control ECU assembly (driver seat).

      Refer to REGISTRATION [10/2023 - ]

  6. CHECK POWER SEAT POWER EASY ACCESS SYSTEM 
    1. Check the power seat power easy access system.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2023 - ]

      OK

      Power seat power easy access system is normal.
