Radio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [12/2017 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the J50 radio receiver assembly connector.

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-1 (CANH) - J50-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Result 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-12 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-15 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      J50-16 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      J50-17 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2016 - 03/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2018 - 08/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the J53 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J53-9 (CANH) - J53-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the J52 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J52-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      J53-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      J52-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      J52-4 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 03/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2018 - 08/2019]
