  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS AND SYMPTOM CHECK

  3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  4. INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2018 - 08/2019]

      CAN communication system DTCs are output B

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* (LIGHTING SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main body, HL AutoLeveling *1 or AFS *2 / Trouble Codes.
      1. *1: for Single Beam Headlight without AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
      2. *2: for Triple Beam Headlight, for Single Beam Headlight with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - 08/2019]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (LIGHTING SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2015 - 08/2019]

  6. CHECK FOR DTC* (AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling *1 or AFS *2 / Trouble Codes.
      1. *1: for Single Beam Headlight without AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
      2. *2: for Triple Beam Headlight, for Single Beam Headlight with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - 08/2019]

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes

      DTCs are output B

  7. CHECK FOR DTC* (AFS (ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM)) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - 08/2019]

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes
