  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    P0AFC-123 is not output. A
    P0AFC-123 is also output. B

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (P0AFC-123). Refer to  DTC P0AFC-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Sensor Module [10/2014 - ]

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (VB1 - VB17) 
    1. Ensure the safety of the areas in front and at the back of the vehicle.
    2. Apply the parking brake and secure the wheels using chocks.
    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    4. Turn the power switch on (READY).
    5. Fully warm up the engine and turn the air conditioning off.
    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Battery Block Vol -V01 to V17.
    7. Firmly depress the brake pedal with your left foot.
    8. Move the shift lever to D.
    9. Record each battery block voltage from the Data List "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V17" while fully depressing the accelerator pedal.

    10. Compare the battery block voltages "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V17" between the even and odd number groups in each combination shown in the tables below.

      HINT: 

      Make sure to compare Battery Block Vol -V17 to Battery Block Vol -V14 in accordance with the tables above.

      HINT: 

      When an internal malfunction occurs in the battery voltage sensor, this symptom (difference in voltage of 0.3 V or more for all 9 pairs of blocks) will occur.

    11. Turn the power switch off.
    12. Disconnect the Techstream from the DLC3.

    Result: 

    REPLACE BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2014 - ]

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Read output DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P3015-123 is not output. A
      P3015-123 is output. B

      HINT: 

      DTC P3015-123 may also be stored if there is foreign matter, etc. adhering to the connecting part of the service plug grip.

    5. Turn the power switch off.
    6. Disconnect the Techstream from the DLC3.

    Result: 

    REPLACE HV BATTERY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2014 - 09/2015] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE HV BATTERY AND SERVICE PLUG GRIP. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2014 - 09/2015]
