FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, and lumbar support adjustment functions.
- The front passenger seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter and front vertical functions.
- The memory call function uses the key ID code of the key to memorize and recall the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.

FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

FOR DRIVER SEAT

Component		Function
Position control ECU assembly LH		Based on the switch operation, seat adjuster signals are input to the position control ECU assembly LH to adjust the seat accordingly.
Front power seat switch LH		Operates the motor according to switch operation.
Front seat adjuster assembly LH	Slide motor	Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly LH, and slides the seat forward and rearward.
	Power seat tilt motor assembly LH	Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly LH, and raises and lowers the front of the seat cushion.
	Power seat lifter motor assembly LH	Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly LH, and raises and lowers the seat cushion.
	Position sensor	Built into the slide motor, lifter motor and tilt motor and sends position data to the position control ECU assembly LH so that it can detect the position at all times.
Front seatback frame sub-assembly LH	Reclining motor	Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly LH, and tilts the seatback forward and rearward.
Front seatback frame sub-assembly LH	Position sensor	Built into the reclining motor and sends position data to the position control ECU assembly LH so that it can detect the position at all times.
Front headrest adjuster assembly LH	Headrest motor*1	Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly LH, and slides the headrest up and down.
Front headrest adjuster assembly LH	Position sensor*1	Built into the headrest motor and sends position data to the position control ECU assembly LH so that it can detect the position at all times.
Front seatback edge protector (inner limit switch assembly)		Detects the condition of the reclining remote control lever sub-assembly and sends a signal to the position control ECU assembly LH.
Front seatback edge protector (outer limit switch assembly)		Detects the condition of the front seatback frame sub-assembly and sends a signal to the position control ECU assembly LH.
Lumbar support adjuster assembly LH		Receives a signal from the front lumbar power seat switch and operates the built-in motor to adjust the lumbar support.
Seat memory switch		If the seat memory SET switch is being pressed when one of the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switches is pressed, or if one of the M1, M2 or M3 switches is pressed within 3 seconds of pressing the SET switch, the front multiplex network door ECU LH sends the signals so that the seat position can be stored. Then, when a seat memory switch LH is pressed, a signal is sent to the front multiplex network door ECU LH and the seat position changes according to memory.

Front seatback frame sub-assembly RH	Reclining motor	Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly RH, and tilts the seatback forward and rearward.
Front seatback frame sub-assembly RH	Position sensor	Built into the reclining motor and sends position data to the position control ECU assembly RH so that it can detect the position at all times.
Front headrest adjuster assembly RH	Headrest motor*1	Receives a signal from the position control ECU assembly RH, and slides the headrest up and down.
Front headrest adjuster assembly RH	Position sensor*1	Built into the headrest motor and sends position data to the position control ECU assembly RH so that it can detect the position at all times.
Front seatback edge protector (inner limit switch assembly)		Detects the condition of the reclining remote control lever sub-assembly and sends a signal to the position control ECU assembly RH.
Front seatback edge protector (outer limit switch assembly)		Detects the condition of the front seatback frame sub-assembly and sends a signal to the position control ECU assembly RH.
Lumbar support adjuster assembly RH*2		Receives a signal from the front lumbar power seat switch and operates the built-in motor to adjust the lumbar support.

SYSTEM OPERATION

The front power seat functions which can be operated with the power seat motors and memorized are shown below.

The seat memory switch sends memory switch information to the front multiplex network door ECU LH. Then the information is sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN and then an instruction to memorize the seat position is sent to the position control ECU assembly LH via CAN. As a result, the seat position is memorized.
