Installation [12/2021 - ]: Procedure
- ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

- INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
- Install the steering column assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.
Torque: 36 N.m (367 kgf/cm, 27 ft.lbf)
NOTE:Temporarily tighten the bolt, and then fully tighten the bolt and 2 nuts in the order of 2 nuts and bolt.
- Connect each connector and engage each wire harness clamp to the steering column assembly.
- Install the steering column assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.
- INSTALL STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT
- INSTALL STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
*a Matchmark - - Slide in this Direction - - - Align the matchmarks on the steering intermediate shaft assembly and No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly.
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the steering intermediate shaft assembly and No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly is necessary.
- Install the steering intermediate shaft assembly and No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly.

- Install the bolt.
Torque: 35 N.m (357 kgf/cm, 26 ft.lbf)
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the steering intermediate shaft assembly and No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly is necessary.
- Align the matchmarks on the steering intermediate shaft assembly and steering intermediate shaft.
- Install the steering intermediate shaft assembly to the steering intermediate shaft.
- Install the bolt.
Torque: 35 N.m (357 kgf/cm, 26 ft.lbf)
- Align the matchmarks on the steering intermediate shaft assembly and No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly.
- CONNECT NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 - INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING D
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL LH
Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2021 - ]
- INSTALL NO. 3 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf/cm, 87 in.lbf)
- INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY NOTE:HINT: Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector:Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [12/2021 - ]
- Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the ignition switch to ON.
- Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel assembly installed, with the battery connected and the ignition switch to ON.
- When rotating the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly to check the operation of the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly (checking for abnormal noise, checking the DTC, Data List, etc.) make sure to perform the inspection with the steering wheel assembly installed.
- INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER
- INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

- ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

- INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
HINT:
When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
