DTC P18A6-00: Gear Shift Control Module "A"/"B" (Sub CPU) Ignition Switch On/Start Position Signal Compare Failure; DTC P18A6-62: Gear Shift Control Module "A"/"B" Ignition Switch On/Start Position Signal Compare Failure [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

Pre-procedure1

1. Disconnect the B77 shift control actuator assembly (shift actuator ECU) connector.
2. Connect the battery terminal.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   Procedure1

4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   B77-5 (IGR1) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

   NOTE:

   Turning the ignition switch to ON with the connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

   Post-procedure1

5. Turn the ignition switch off.
6. Disconnect the battery terminal.
7. Connect the shift control actuator assembly (shift actuator ECU) connector.

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE SHIFT CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SHIFT ACTUATOR ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

Result: 

NG

1. Disconnect the B77 shift control actuator assembly (shift actuator ECU) connector.
2. Disconnect the 9E power distribution box assembly connector.

   Procedure1

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   9E-13 - B77-5 (IGR1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   9E-13 or B77-5 (IGR1) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

   Post-procedure1

4. Connect the power distribution box assembly connector.
5. Connect the shift control actuator assembly (shift actuator ECU) connector.

Result: 

OK 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

Result: 

NG
