Monitor Description

The shift actuator ECU monitors the operation angle of the output shaft via the absolute angle sensor.

If the output value of the absolute angle sensor is abnormal, the shift actuator ECU judges that the sensor is abnormal and the ECM stores a DTC and the MIL illuminates.

When a communication malfunction occurs between the microcomputer (system 1) and microcomputer (system 2) in the shift actuator ECU, as the shift actuator ECU cannot receive normal or malfunction information from the absolute angle sensor, the shift actuator ECU judges that the sensor is abnormal and the ECM stores a DTC and the MIL illuminates.
