DTC U0232-87: Lost Communication with Side Obstacle Detection Control Module "A" Missing Message; DTC U1236-87: Lost Communication with Cruise Control Front Distance Range Sensor Front Side "B" Missing Message [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs

  4. INSPECT BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH (A) 
    1. Check for DTCs.

  6. INSPECT FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR (B)

  7. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH (A))

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the L287 blind spot monitor sensor LH (A) connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L287-3 (CA1P) - L287-2 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the A126 front side radar sensor (B) connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A126-3 (CA1P) - A126-2 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

  12. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the N45 forward recognition camera connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N45-3 (CA3L) - N45-4 (CA3H) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      N45-3 (CA3L) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 200 Ω or higher
      N45-4 (CA3H) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 200 Ω or higher
      N45-3 (CA3L) - +B Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 6 kΩ or higher

    2. Disconnect the L129 No. 5 CAN junction terminal connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L129-2 (CANL) - L129-3 (CANH) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      L129-2 (CANL) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 200 Ω or higher

  21. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA)

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the N45 forward recognition camera connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N45-3 (CA3L) - N45-4 (CA3H) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      N45-3 (CA3L) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 200 Ω or higher
