Reassembly [03/2019 - 01/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column) 
    1. Install the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU with the 2 screws.
  2. INSTALL STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column) 
    NOTE:

    If the steering lock actuator assembly is replaced, refer to Registration.

    Refer to REGISTRATION [03/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to REGISTRATION [09/2020 - 01/2023]

    1. Secure the steering column assembly in a vise between aluminum plates.
      NOTE:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

      Temporarily install the steering lock actuator assembly with a new steering lock set bolt.

    3. Tighten the steering lock set bolt until the bolt head breaks off.
  3. INSTALL STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column) 
    NOTE:

    If the steering lock actuator assembly is replaced, refer to Registration.

    Refer to REGISTRATION [03/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to REGISTRATION [09/2020 - 01/2023]

      Temporarily install the steering lock actuator assembly with 2 new steering lock set bolts.

    2. Tighten the 2 steering lock set bolts until the bolt head breaks off.
