Function Test
NOTE:
DO NOT lean on vehicle or open doors during auto test. Doing so will introduce false codes into test.
- Open the hood. Locate the air suspension/EVO steering test connector on the right front shock tower. See Figure . Install a battery charger to power the vehicle during testing.
- Open the luggage compartment door. Locate the air suspension switch and make certain the switch is OFF.
- Connect the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester, or aftermarket scan tool, to the air suspension/EVO steering test connector. Select the FUNCTIONAL TEST from menu.
- Make sure both the doors are closed.
- Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
- Perform Function Test 211 and record the DTCs displayed.
- Perform Function Test 228 to clear the air suspension/EVO control module memory.
- Scroll to the desired functional test DTC. See NGS FUNCTION TEST INDEX .
- Press the trigger button to begin the desired test.
- Press the trigger button to end the test.
- Scroll to the next desired function test. For a list of available function tests, see NGS FUNCTION TEST INDEX .
