Test C: Memory Seat Does Not Operate Properly Using Remote Transmitter

  1. Check For DDM DTCs  - If no DDM DTCs are retrieved during preliminary procedure, go to next step. If DDM DTCs are retrieved during preliminary procedure, see DRIVER DOOR MODULE (DDM) DTC DEFINITIONS  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM to continue diagnosis.
  2. Check Remote Transmitter Door Lock Operation  - Press appropriate remote transmitter lock button. If doors lock, go to next step. If doors do not lock, perform TEST B: DOOR LOCKS ARE INOPERATIVE USING REMOTE TRANSMITTER  .
  3. Program Remote Transmitter To Memory Setting No. 1  - Program appropriate remote transmitter. See REMOTE MEMORY ACTIVATION  under PROGRAMMING. Move driver memory seat and memory mirrors to different settings and press remote transmitter unlock button. If driver memory seat and memory mirror do not return to preset memory position No. 1, go to next step. If driver memory seat and memory mirror return to preset memory position No. 1, system is operating properly at this time.
  4. Check Memory Position No. 1 From Memory Set Switch  - Press memory button No. 1 on memory set switch. If driver memory seat and memory mirrors return to preset memory position No. 1, replace driver door module and retest system operation. If driver memory seat and memory mirrors do not return to preset memory position No. 1, see SEATS - POWER article to continue diagnosis.
